Video Conference Therapy allows you to stay in the comfort of your home, office, or from anywhere you want. You get more convenience while maintaining the person-to-person connection with your therapist.
What You Will Need:
All you need is a computer with a camera, microphone, and internet. You will need to download Skype for FREE. Once these things are in place, you will be able to see and hear your therapist on your computer. And don't worry, if you aren't good with computers, your therapist will guide you through it.
Effectiveness:
Since the use of video conference therapy is fairly new, there has been little research done on it's effectiveness. However, from our experience, it has similar effectiveness as Phone Therapy and In-person therapy. Likewise, our client's report video conference therapy to be as satisfactory and helpful as other forms of therapy.
Video conference therapy is useful for most problems or difficulties but is especially convenient for stay at home parents, clients struggling with anxiety or depression, clients with busy schedules or who travel, or those that have difficulty travelling.
